The lecture hall (In French)
As part of the projects led by the association, our podcast gives a voice to non-permanent researchers from diverse backgrounds. We aim to show that science is accessible to everyone and is built through rich and varied paths shaped by passionate individuals. We seek to highlight the scientific process and the way knowledge is constructed step by step, in line with the mission of the association Juste 2.0°C.

The itinerary between March and July 2024

A RESEARCH FIELD AND AN EDUCATIONAL PROJECT
The Research project mixes disciplines and perspectives around the question of the ecological restoration of the Saône and the Rhône.
In parallel with the data collection, the participatory sessions and the itinerary will be an opportunity to meet with all the public of the territory.
Participatory approaches are notably offered to the school public as part of educational stops in the field and educational monitoring over the 2023/2024 school year!

ANTARCTIQUE 2.0 ° C is a sailing expedition that left Lorient in Marseille in October 2021, crossed the Atlantic Ocean to the Antarctic Peninsula, and returned to Lorient in March 2022 !

But it is also an interdisciplinary research project built by 6 students in partnership with a dozen scientific laboratories, to better understand the human footprint on the ecosystems crossed.
This is what you also need to know more about it.
This expedition followed an interdisciplinary approach with its 5 research poles :
-
Climatology : Impact of atmospheric rivers on the surface mass balance of the Antarctic ice cap (IGE - LSCE - CESAM)
-
Biogeochemistry of metals and microbiology : Comparison of the structure and sensitivity of marine and coastal ecosystems around limited resources (LEMAR - IMAS - LOMIC)
-
Microplastics : Characterization of the presence of microplastics and its effects on ecosystems in seawater, sea ice and fresh snow (MIO - USaCh)
-
Population biology : Impact of climate change on the penguin populations in the Antarctic Peninsula (CSM - WHOI - IPHC)
-
Sociology of science : Ethnography of scientific cooperation and governance of the Fildes peninsula (PRINTEMPS - LIER)

The objective of the expedition was to promote the dissemination of the scientific approach regarding the effects of climate change and anthropization. For this purpose, educational content was created in partnership with teachers of all levels, this to be accessible to the greatest number of students and adults.
